Ground Floor Coffee Company (GFCC)

Stay Grounded.

Ground Floor Coffee Company is a small-batch roastery dedicated to bringing fair trade, organic beans to our community. Founded on May 17, 2019, GFCC has been a labor of love, shaped by resilience and purpose. Just weeks before our planned demo, the world shifted in March 2020, delaying our journey — but not our dream. After beginning renovations in September, we proudly opened our doors on June 23, 2023.

Husband-and-wife team Jason and Mel turned roasters to blend their love for coffee with a shared commitment to serve others. Along the way, their three sons have gained hands-on work and life experience through each phase of the business. Our sister company, Behavioral Connections, now expands this mission by providing a safe, meaningful trade experience for individuals on the autism spectrum.

At GFCC, coffee is more than a cup — it’s a connection, an opportunity, and a promise to stay grounded in our values.

Ground Floor Coffee strives to be a stepping stone for those new to the workforce, providing meaningful experience in a nurturing environment. We’re committed to offering responsibly and sustainably sourced food and beverages, reducing our impact on the planet one roast at a time.

Mission

Every year we roast and brew, we aim to deepen our impact: shrinking our carbon footprint, raising awareness for environmental sustainability, and championing social sustainability. We use our passion for coffee as a catalyst for community, inclusion, and positive change — always staying grounded in our purpose to serve.
